A traceable record of your artwork archive
Keep an electronic record you can return to. ART VAULT connects artwork archives to evidence records so their status, timestamps, and hashes remain easy to find.
What artwork record evidence documents
ART VAULT records evidence of an electronic artwork archive. A submission preserves a snapshot, timestamp, and hash associated with a blockchain result. It helps you review a particular electronic record and its status. A blockchain entry alone cannot establish that an artwork is authentic.
Keep the archive and its evidence connected
The artwork record and evidence history show processing status, timestamps, and an evidence reference or transaction hash. Pending, confirmed, and failed submissions are distinct states. Submitting a request does not mean it has completed; check the returned result.
Start with clear collection information
Organize the photographs and details first, then follow the evidence submission process in the app. Review historical records alongside the corresponding archive rather than relying on a standalone screenshot. Conditions, available credits, and any fees are shown in the app.
Evidence has a specific purpose
Electronic record evidence does not replace authentication, valuation, copyright registration, or proof of ownership. It is not an endorsement of uploaded information. Questions about authenticity, value, or rights require the object, source documentation, and the relevant professional processes.
Where to begin
- Create and check the artwork archive
- Submit evidence in the app and follow its progress
- Check the result and retain the corresponding archive and history
Questions about artwork record evidence
Does a blockchain record prove an artwork is authentic?
No. ART VAULT records evidence of electronic archives. It does not authenticate an artwork or automatically establish value, copyright, or ownership.
Where can I check whether a submission completed?
Check the corresponding artwork archive and evidence history in the app. Pending, confirmed, and failed states are shown separately. Timestamps and transaction hashes depend on the actual result.
